A male and female pair of blackcap birds are keeping an eye on some nearby children in a woodland setting.

Blackcaps are warblers usually a summer visitor to the UK. The male’s black cap differs from the female which has a light brown one.

Hand-drawn as part of my British Garden Birds collection, I created this artwork using watercolour pencils.
