Oystercatcher

Art Code 0101024

Oystercatchers are waders found around the coast of the UK (and worldwide). Despite their name, in the UK they don’t eat as many oysters as you’d expect! Bivalves, such as mussels and cockles, make up their main food course.

British garden and wild birds collection.

This artwork was hand-drawn using watercolour pencils.
